My culinary career began more than 20 years ago. I have always had a great appreciation for food, and the remarkable way that a satisfying dish can elicit fond memories or hopefully create new ones. Originally from British Columbia, I completed my formal Culinary Training at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. Upon receiving Real Seal Certification, I then set my goals to hone my culinary skills by working with renowned chefs in the finest of establishments. I worked my way up the kitchen brigade ranks at the InterContinental Hotel in Toronto and at the Langdon Hall Country House Hotel, one of few restaurants in the world to receive the prestigious Five Diamond Award from AAA/CAA.

Upon holding the Executive Chef
position in well-respected restaurants and hotels, I headed east to settle in Halifax and in 2008 took on the role of educating the next generation of aspiring chefs, by becoming Chef Instructor for FEED NOVA SCOTIA’s innovative Learning Kitchen program. Whether teaching or providing personal chef services, I consistently put forth my very best effort.

I believe that as a professional chef I have a responsibility to cook incredible food, always with the specific preferences of you the client in mind. I believe in simple, fresh ingredients prepared to perfection, and this is reflected in every dish I make. I cook with passion and precision, each and every time.

Feeding your family or guests need not be stressful. I offer a service that is professional, cost effective, and guaranteed to satisfy even the most discerning of palettes.

What many people want is good quality food at home. As a Red Seal Professional Chef who has worked in a number of high end restaurants, I chose to embark on a new business challenge. Recognizing this need, I have decided to bring my “big kitchen” experience to your home or function.

As a chef, people will often ask me, “What is your specialty?” If I’m truly honest, for me the answer is not a particular style or type of cuisine. Rather, I would say my specialty or strength would be a combination of: well developed technical skills, impressive flavour blending, and attention to ensuring my client’s utmost satisfaction. We meet
As a first step, I would arrange a meeting with you. My goal for this initial meeting would be to understand exactly what type of service you are seeking. I would offer my ideas as well, and together we would decide on ways that I could provide you with precisely what you are looking for. We would discuss your needs in detail, whether it be for the In Home Meal Preparation service, Catering service, Interactive Cooking Lessons or Corporate Events. Once we have decided upon the details, I will follow up the meeting with a printed document outlining our agreed upon plan.

I cook
When the time comes, I arrive with the best produce and highest quality ingredients, sourcing local and seasonal goods. I then proceed to create memorable food for you and your guests.

You Relax
This is the best part. I pride myself in providing a stress-free, professional service. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy your family/ guests, while I take care of the rest!
